Here is a picture of Marine Detachment aboard the USS Galveston CLG-3 in 1964 on a WESTPAC CRUISE.

Our XO was F.J. BRETH who was "ONE SQUARED AWAY MARINE". He served a very distinguished career end up as a BRIG. GEN. and the COMMANDING GENERAL OF MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT SAN DIEGO.
